Keyboard Language

You can configure your StarBook Mk VI with the keyboards listed. All Linux distributions we offer pre-installed will prompt you to select your input language the first time you turn it on. You can also change this in the future from the Settings window. Currently, we aren't able to offer any additional or custom layouts. Please subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when new options are available.

AMD Ryzen™ 7
Your StarBook Mk VI will come with a 1.90GHz 8-core AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800U, Boost clock up to 4.40GHz by default. You can upgrade to a 2.20GHz 12-core Intel® Core® i7-1360P, Turbo Boost up to 5.00GHz. The processor is on-board, so you will not be able to upgrade it at a later date.
Memory
8GB
Your StarBook Mk VI will come with 8GB 3200MHz memory (1 × 8GB) by default. You can upgrade this to 64GB 3200MHz memory (2 × 32GB). You can upgrade or replace the memory whenever you want as it is removable.
Operating System
Ubuntu LTS 24.04
The StarBook Mk VI is built specifically for Linux. You can choose from a selection of pre-installed distributions, including Ubuntu, elementary OS, Linux Mint, Manjaro and Zorin OS. If you prefer something else, you can choose to have no operating system installed. You can easily change the installed Linux distribution using a USB flash drive.

Your StarBook Mk VI will charge via the USB-C port or the DC Jack and comes with a 65W USB-C charger. It includes one detachable plug, and you choose from UK, Europe, Australia and the USA. You can purchase additional plugs.
Storage
512GB SSD
Your StarBook Mk VI will come with 512GB Gen3 PCIe SSD storage by default, which features a sequential read speed of up to 3370MB/s. Over-provisioning increases performance and IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second) whilst enhancing reliability and endurance. You can configure it with 4TB Gen3 PCIe SSD storage, giving you more storage capacity and increased performance with sequential read speeds up to 3370MB/s. You can upgrade or replace the SSD; this requires a small Philips screwdriver.
Your StarBook Mk VI will come with 512GB Gen4 PCIe SSD storage by default, which features a sequential read speed of up to 7000MB/s. Charge Cable
DC Jack (1.5m)
Your StarBook Mk VI will include a USB-C to DC Jack Charge Cable (2m) by default. You can select alternative charging cables. These are available in either 2-metre or 5-metre lengths with either USB-C or DC Jack connectors. USB-C cables support power, video output and data transfer, whereas DC Jack cables only support power. Both cables charge at the same speed; which cable suits you best will depend on which external devices you plan to connect. We have a full range of accessories available.

Your StarBook Mk VI will come with everything you need. We have accessories such as recovery drives, which you can use to recover or re-install the Operating System. We have a full range of accessories available.
